幾何西寧 | 紀錄片《3AM on Frenchmen》放映會&導演線上見面會

近日，由Time After Time和NISE聯合舉辦的一系列文化藝術活動落地幾何書店·西寧旗艦店。

On the 12th May, Jihe Bookstore in Xining – Qinghai will host an interactive independent screening of a music documentary, where you will have the opportunity to speak with the director in the US for a Q&A session.

《3AM on Frenchmen》

講述新奧爾良街頭表演者Ray Wimley故事的獨立音樂紀錄片。

影片講述了他在新奧爾良夜晚街頭的音樂實踐以及由當地音樂人組成的波西米亞群體。

作為一位有著丈夫、父親、詩人和嘻哈歌手等多重身份的創作者，Ray的饒舌歌詞裡有日常掙扎、創造性問題解決、家庭、夢想、無條件的愛等主題。

2019年7月，美國演員兼說唱歌手Common在Essence Fest音樂節期間同Ray Wimley和樂隊The Harbinger Project合作表演，表演視頻在社交媒體上獲得了1700萬次觀看，讓Ray Wimley一夜走紅。

之後，Common又在參加Jimmy Fallon節目期間把Ray介紹給了更廣大的觀眾，還在洛杉磯Let Love巡演期間將他帶到了舞臺上。

3AM on Frenchmen is an independent music documentary about Ray Wimley, a rising New Orleans street performer who is a husband, father, poet, and hip hop emcee.

The film explores the heart of his musical practice in New Orleans’ nightlife and its bohemian community of local musicians. Ray’s lyrical narratives are about everyday struggles, creative problem solving, family togetherness, chasing dreams, and unconditional love.

In July of 2019, American actor and rapper Common launched Ray Wimley and The Harbinger Project into a viral sensation as they performed together on the street during Essence Fest, gaining 17 million views on one digital platform.

Common went on to introduce Ray to late-night television with an appearance on Jimmy Fallon in New York and also brought him out on stage in Los Angeles during his Let Love tour.

導演：Zachary Bako

Zachary C. Bako是一位居住在美國的藝術家。

在凱斯西儲大學和克利夫蘭藝術學院獲得工商學士學位和攝影碩士學位後，Bako便在紐約開始了他在時尚和藝術行業的職業攝影生涯。

隨後他來到北京，住在北京的四年裡，Bako所涉獵的媒體範圍得到了進一步發展，創作了優秀的報告文學作品，並連續三年獲得美國攝影獎。

之後Bako回到洛杉磯，完成了他的第一部記錄片《3AM on Frenchmen》，該片現在由Quincy Jones在Qwest.TV全球播出。

在洛杉磯之後，Bako從布魯克林來到上海，這期間他捕捉到了很多有關音樂家和運動員的精彩畫面。在中西部期間，他也將自己研究出來的多學科技術也融入到了編輯和商業製作中。

Zachary C. Bako is an American artist based in the US. After receiving his B.S. in Business + M.A in Studio Photography at Case Western Reserve University in conjunction with the Cleveland Institute of Art, Bako moved to New York and began his photography career in the fashion and fine art industries.

His range of media developed further during a four-year stint in Beijing where he cultivated his reportage work, winning American Photography three years in a row.

In a subsequent three-year stretch in Los Angeles, Bako completed his first feature film, 3AM on Frenchmen, now available worldwide on Qwest.TV by Quincy Jones.

After Los Angeles, Bako bounced from Brooklyn to Shanghai capturing musicians and athletes for two and a half years. While in the Midwest, he brings his honed multidisciplinary techniques into his editorial + commercial productions.
